Brightness Falls from the Air A proposal for a wall piece which made it as far as runner-up.

The Unit Cube, two complementary fractals cast in silver from 3D-printed waxes.  If we could ignore the Pauli exclusion principle for a moment, the pair would lock together into a solid cube.

The Menger Sponge is just what it looks like: the canonical fractal in which you divide a cube into 27 cubelets, knock out the center and the 6 face center cubelets, repeat this operation on all surviving cubelets.  This model has four generations, and it looks like a bit of computer graphics that's somehow escaped the screen.  I can't produce this piece right now due to metal printing issues, but feel free to download its file.  Or why not get one from Shapeways?

Runaround designed in 2006 as a multimaterial extravaganza for 3D Systems, but never produced.
